Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had a diverse range of talents, including being able to act, direct and produce plays, as well as write them as well as teach and serve as director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the child of a British father and an Turkish-born mother from England. Early on Anna was a part of a variety of television commercials. Anna relocated to Toronto, Ontario, in order to pursue acting. Over the years that followed, she eventually relocated to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman met Anna at an Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. The couple got engaged. Anna was just recently converted to Judaism and married Seth Cooperman in Fredericton.
